Read the message and click "Got It." 12 Choose the types of ads you want displayed with your video. You can disable TrueView ads, which are video ads played before your video, and Overlay ads, which pop up during the video. All monetized YouTube videos are accompanied by Display (banner) ads. TrueView and Overlay ads may make more money, but they annoy some viewers. 13 Choose whether to syndicate the content everywhere or only on platforms that show ads. If you choose to make the video available only on platforms that show ads, it may make more money, but doing so may prevent the video from becoming viral instead. 14 Visit YouTube's AdSense Connection Web page. Click the bubble next to "Use an Existing AdSense Account," then enter the requested information and click "Next." 15 Check your email account associated with your AdSense account. There will be an email from Google. Open it and click the link as instructed. The link will open in a browser window. 16 Click the bubble labeled "Yes, Allow www.youtube.com to Access My Account" and then click "Submit Information." 17 Promote your video on social media and content-sharing sites such as Reddit, Facebook and Twitter.
