How to: Manually Or Automatically Get/Configure your Airtel GPRS Settings
Of all the Nigeria networks, Airtel sends GPRS configuration settings to more phones once Airtel detects the kind of phone on which the SIM is inserted though, the settings that Airtel sends may not work properly with the kind of phone on which the Airtel GPRS configuration settings is sent. This because, more often than not, Airtel sends GPRS configuration settings to phones that cannot even browse. How to Request Airtel Automatic Configuration Settings
Just in case you could not manually set up your phone for the Airtel GPRS configuration, you may request for the automatic configuration settings by sending
"internet phone brand phone model "
in a text message to 232
e.g
"internet nokia 6600 "
and a response would be sent to you shortly.
NOTEICE
Please note that the format of input given above is as per the format of input most Nokia phone requires. However, in any device that accesses the internet, the "APN", "User Name" and "password" is always required and that given above works with Airtel Nigeria on any device.
